I'm a Brooklyn-based writer, editor, and published author with an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from The New School, which I completed in 2017. Most recently, I worked as a Creative Copywriter in The New School's Marketing & Communication department, and I currently contribute to BuzzFeed's Lifestyle & Market team, where I write about everything from beauty and fashion to entertainment, culture, and consumer products.

I've been writing books, poems, and stories since the first grade, and my curiosity extends well beyond the page. I'm a lifelong film enthusiast with a particular love for independent cinema, film analysis, psychology, and philosophy. I bring a filmmaker's eye to my writing, and I'm especially interested in the ways storytelling can explore human behavior, relationships, and the complexities of everyday life.

I'm the author of three traditionally published young adult novels—Burro Hills, Trouble Girls, and Primal Animals—and my short fiction has appeared in publications including the North American Review, Sierra Nevada Review, and The Lascaux Review. My nonfiction and editorial work has appeared in BuzzFeed, The Content Strategist, Fatherly, Wetpaint Entertainment, and other publications.

I've spent years helping others discover their voices, too. I served as a writing mentor with Girls Write Now for three years, facilitated pre-K literacy programs at libraries and family shelters throughout Brooklyn, and taught creative writing workshops through Sackett Street Writers' Workshop and The Writer's Rock.

I'm drawn to psychologically complex, character-driven stories that explore the messier corners of human behavior, relationships, and identity. My work spans young adult and adult fiction, and I'm currently developing new fiction and screenwriting projects while seeking literary representation. When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading, watching films, or finding an excuse to spend time at the beach.
